When Admins share stories of how they use our apps, it inspires others, helping them overcome challenges and add efficiency to their processes. Following are four recent stories of how Admins are using Rollup Helper to extend their use of Salesforce.
Benecon is an organization that helps companies create and manage their own custom health plans. Katie Watts, Benecon’s CRM and Analytics Manager, shared that their biggest use case for Rollup Helper is a current project. “I’m adding about eight rollups to our current setup that, due to the limitations of the number of master-detail relationships you can have, would have required a lot of flow automation to be built otherwise. It has been a huge time-saver for this project!” explains Katie.
Rollup Helper isn’t restricted to a master-detail relationship between objects, so it makes roll-up summary fields in Salesforce much easier. You can even do rollups between objects with a lookup relationship and hierarchy rollups. Read the full story: Benecon Leverages Rollup Helper for Multiple Time-Saving Use Cases.
As the leading platform for influencer marketing, Aspire helps brands build communities of ambassadors, influencers, and affiliates to share their brand stories. They reached out to us because they were running into limits based on active opportunities in Salesforce.
Salesforce Admin Chloe Shockley said Aspire uses Rollup Helper in a variety of ways in their org. “One of the critical functions we use Rollup Helper for is populating licensed platform limits like the number of active projects, collaborators and users on Account records in Salesforce, which then sync to our product and gate usage,” adds Chloe.
“One of my favorite uses of Rollup Helper is tracking last sales activity at a contact and account level. Rollup Helper filters allow me to scan only the activities I care about—SDR and AE created—omitting any marketing activities we have logged on the contact/account. It's simple, but incredibly powerful for sales leadership insight to ensure the right leads are being touched at the right time,” said Chloe. Dakota Financial is an asset-based direct funding source that provides equipment funding solutions for more than 10,000 customers in the United States. Product Development Manager Benjamin Gilberg is overseeing the transition from their in-house system to Salesforce.
As they outgrew their old system, they needed the ability to integrate with partners and services like TransUnion, so Dakota chose Salesforce. They needed to create objects for each department and quickly aggregate information from multiple sources to meet the varied requirements of their departments.
“Rollup Helper is really what's allowed us to achieve this because we're taking very large swaths of information and running lots of rollups on those. Since there are limitations in Salesforce on the number of rollups you can have, it was drastically slowing us down. So, Rollup Helper has made a big difference for us,” said Benjamin. Kipu Health is an organization that strives to improve the behavioral health landscape with their EMR, CRM, RCM billing, and GRC compliance software. Brie Collins, Kipu’s Senior Salesforce Administrator said, ”I was using Salesforce Flow and price rules to do some of the work that I have now transitioned to Rollup Helper. In the past, I also looked into DLRS but found Rollup Helper to better suit our needs.
They have some fairly complex pricing in CPQ, and she was running into issues having the right fields populated for the correct rules to trigger on. “Moving the rollups needed to Rollup Helper got the calculations to work just like I needed to. It is much quicker to create a rollup than it is to write code or build functionality into a Flow. Some items just make more sense in a rollup!”
Now that they’re using Rollup Helper, their team has been able quickly implement other tools that need rolled up data. Read the full story: Rollup Helper Simplifies CPQ Calculation Process for Kipu Health.
