If you are just getting started with project management in Salesforce, we highly recommend that you start to use Milestones PM+ Community Edition as it is still free and continuously enhanced by Passage Technology, whereas the Milestones PM version that Salesforce created is no longer updated, bug prone, and is not supported on the latest Salesforce versions (e.g. api). We even have an upgrade to the free version called Milestones PM+ Enterprise Edition. We explored what solutions Salesforce had to offer and eventually had to build a custom solution. As it turned out, this date syncing problem was a major unmet rollup/aggregation need on the Salesforce platform among many other rollup limitations, and we decided to invest even more time and energy into the creation and launch of our flagship app, Rollup Helper, in 2012, the original Rollup Platform on the AppExchange.

Fast forward to today, and Rollup Helper is the #1 Rollup Platform for Salesforce and a Top 10 app overall on the AppExchange. Rollup Helper's tremendous success has inspired us to build more awesome and easy to use apps and custom solutions for the Salesforce platform.
