Now You Can Trigger a Real-time Run After a Formula Field Value Change!
This change has a backstory. Normally, changes to formula fields will not trigger a setting to run because of the unique nature of formula fields. A similar issue was reported on Salesforce Ideas in 2009: “Currently, if you use a formula field in a workflow trigger criteria, a change in the value of the formula field does not count as a record edit, and will not kick off the workflow.”
Our new Lookup Helper functionality includes the ability to use Visualforce Page Triggers to trigger Lookup Helper Settings. This can be useful when wanting a change to a formula field value to trigger a setting to run in real-time.
- After creating and adding a Visualforce Page Trigger to a record page, the setting will run in real-time once the page has been refreshed. This Knowledge Base article provides the steps for implementing a Lookup Helper Visualforce Page Trigger.

With Data Quality Helper, Salesforce users are notified when bad data is entered based on criteria chosen by Admins. This ensures users are entering or updating complete, correct, and non-duplicative data. Hard or soft Customizable Data Validation Rules empower you to create reminders and warnings for users, which are displayed when an Admin’s set of criteria is met.
Scheduling a Rollup from the Schedule Management Page
Did you know that you can schedule a rollup directly from the Schedule Management page in the app? From the top right of the page, click “New,” and select an active rollup. Next, you can define the frequency and fire time, just like on the rollup schedule page (see images below).
The image below shows how you can define the new rollup schedule.
You can also group rollups automatically by scheduled, realtime, and activated status. The options can be found in the rollup group configuration in the Automatic section.
