One of the most useful and popular features of Salesforce® is a rollup summary field. They’re great for moving information from one object to another. This might make you wonder, "What does Rollup Helper do differently?"

First, let’s start with what a native rollup can do: Rollup information from a child object to a parent object in a master-detail relationship. You can do count, SUM, MIN, and MAX types of rollups, and you can create filters to limit which rollups fire.

This is great for many use cases, but there are also a lot of frustrating limitations. Normally you can’t do a rollup on objects with a lookup relationship, nor can you include cross-object formula fields in rollup summary filters. Plus, you have a limit of 25 rollups per object. This is where Rollup Helper comes in!

Rollups made in Rollup Helper do not count against your 25 rollups per object. You can also perform other types of rollups. There's over 25 types of rollups you can create, including Advanced Currency Management, unique count, checkbox, and text to name a few. You can even do rollups on objects that have a lookup relationship. Rollup Helper works with custom objects, as well as objects from other apps.

The best part is you can set all of this up with clicks and not code. There’s over 30 prebuilt date filters, and you can create custom filters without knowledge of SOQL. Just like rollup summary fields, these results can be used in reports, Validation Rules, and Flows.

Here's a chart to see the differences a little easier:

Features Standard Rollup Summary Fields Rollup Helper
Rollup information from objects with master-detail relationship Yes Yes
Count, SUM, MIN, MAX rollups Yes

Yes

Create filters for rollups Yes Yes
Rollup information from objects with lookup relationship No

Yes

Cross-object formula fields in rollup summary filters No Yes
Can have more than 25 rollups per object No Yes
Advanced currency management, unique count, checkbox & text rollups No Yes

In short, Rollup Helper can do all of the same things standard rollup summary fields can, plus a whole lot more! And you don't need SOQL knowledge or a developer to rollup information for you and your co-workers. The C-suite gets the reports they need, while Sales and Marketing members can quickly see necessary information on a record without clicking to different related objects.

Rollup Helper is a Native Salesforce app that thousands of orgs use. You can download Rollup Helper from the AppExchange and try it out for free with up to three active rollup settings, or buy the premium edition for unlimited rollup settings.
