Rollup Helper Elevates AI Company's Revenue Reporting With Connected Account & Product Data

Courtney Sovich, Capacity’s Senior Manager of Revenue Operations, reached out to Passage Technology because their team was running into limitations with Salesforce rollups. ”We tried to use the out-of-the-box Salesforce rollup fields and also tried to use the Declarative Lookup Rollup Summaries, but both options were clunky and had limitations for rolling up data across multiple layers of records,” she explained.
Setting Up an Account Level Field for Active Revenue
Capacity wanted to create an account level field for active revenue based on fields on the opportunity product object. Courtney said, “We were able to walk through this use case on our onboarding call with the team, and they quickly helped us set up two rollups. Since that meeting a few weeks ago, we've set up several more of our own rollups. It has been hugely beneficial in our reporting ability from an account level to be able to see which products and which product families (and ARR associated with those) a given account has.”
Time-saving Rollups & Syncing Rollups into Integrated Tools
Courtney said that Rollup Helper has made a big difference in their reporting. “We've been able to build reporting that is clean and clear—specifically as it relates to our use case above. This is something we've been trying to do for years, but it was just too time consuming to do using the standard functionality. Now we have the reporting we need, and as a bonus, we can also use these rollup fields to sync into some of our other integrated tools for our customer success and professional services teams,” she added.
In addition to helping Capacity with their main use case, Passage Technology’s team gave them new ideas to consider implementing during their free onboarding session. Courtney said, “We let the team know on the onboarding call that we wished we had bought this tool a long time ago as it would've saved us so much time.”
