Dear PT,

Is there an easy way to show how many Tasks are left to be completed in an open Salesforce® Case? This would help us to manage resources better and ultimately be more productive as an organization. It also might prevent us from closing a Case before it’s truly complete.

O. Penntask from the OC

Dear O,

Whether the Cases are for internal issues or for satisfying customers, it is critical to efficiently manage their prompt and correct resolution. You can set up a quick, at-a-glance view of this information with Rollup Helper.

It is as simple as creating a custom number field for Cases, rolling up the data, and filtering the results. Then, because you have this new rollup, you can also create a validation rule that prevents the closing of Cases with open Tasks detected.

Learn how to create this open Task field step-by-step.

Sincerely,

PT
