Ensure Your Org Has Solid Foundation for Data & Collaboration

Like a well-built home that lasts for generations or a great relationship, it begins with a solid foundation. But over time, things can shift and change. The house settles, children grow up and leave home, and readjustment is necessary.

In the Salesforce world, the result of continued rapid change is that many organizations are feeling a bit untethered. Business models are changing. The Admin role is changing. And we can blame — or thank AI for that.

But the truth is nothing really stays the same. The world is in constant motion, and new ideas and innovations are happening every day. “The Salesforce ecosystem is entering a new phase, shaped by AI, increasing platform maturity, and evolving business demands, writes Christine Marshall, Technical Content Lead, Salesforce Ben in the SF Ben Admin Survey 2026.

Another Salesforce Ben article, Why Salesforce Professionals Are Feeling Lost in 2026 expands on the impacts of these changes. “Over the last year alone, the ecosystem has seen continuous Agentforce announcements, version changes, pricing shifts, rebrands, and new AI-adjacent tooling,” explains the article.

Increasing Demands Being Placed on Admins

Although the core functions of the admin role have not changed, what has changed is its scope of responsibilities. The SF Ben Survey adds, “Today, the same [admin] profile is expected to support the organization across governance, security, AI integration, and decisions that used to belong to other functions.”

The result of the expanding admin responsibilities is that orgs struggle with duplicate data, maintaining automations, and completing integrations, and the growing complexity of Salesforce.

Overcoming Challenges Data Quality and Collaboration

AI tools like Agentforce require clean and connected data. The problem: “Only 2% of respondents consider their org “clean and well-maintained,ˮ explains Solution Architect Sara Hernandez in the SF Ben Admin Survey 2026.

Passage Technology’s Data Quality Helper app helps admins and users improve data via duplicate resolution, validation rules and storage management. By automating tasks like identifying and merging duplicates, flagging incomplete records, and cleaning up outdated entries, the app helps admins ensure their Salesforce data has a solid foundation before it’s shared with Agentforce.

In addition, our Lookup Helper and Rollup Helper apps help admins ensure their data is organized and connected. For example, Lookup Helper enables admins to display related records, and Rollup Helper empowers admins to create automated rollups across objects. And this rolled up information can be used in flows, validation rules, or formula fields.

The SF Ben Survey also found that 11.2% of admins identified collaboration as a task that’s placing increased demands on them. When implementing AI, admins need a seamless way to collaborate cross-functionally.

Adding to this, a common pain point for Salesforce users is that Salesforce doesn’t have project, portfolio, or resource management capabilities within any Cloud, which can make project coordination difficult. But with our Milestones PM+ app, Salesforce users have project and related data right in their CRM alongside contact and account information, making collaboration and coordination easier.

What makes Passage Technology’s apps unique? By providing you with a solid foundation, our apps help ensure your org is running smoothly, and your data is clean, accurate, and connected before you implement Agentforce.
