Our company’s IT department has a steady backlog of new projects and new processes to undertake. And they are good at what they do. However, each individual action plan is built from the ground up. Plus, they operate in a bit of a silo—other functions need to be involved to ensure success. We’d like to add project management discipline to these projects and process implementations. We need to get new employees at our company onboarded and up-to-speed as soon as possible.  We have a number of separate processes in place within Salesforce^® for both compliance and training. How might we take a more comprehensive approach to get better outcomes?

At our company, we are looking to improve and streamline our customer onboarding process. We sell a number of products and services, and each has a repetitive process to properly deliver and onboard. Usually, we clone a number of Salesforce^® Projects, and then make the changes necessary for that customer and purchase. As we’ve seen, this process is sometimes prone to errors and omissions. How can we make improvements?

We use Salesforce^® at our company, but we manage projects outside of Salesforce. This creates numerous challenges, and never more than when an established project plan has dates and deadlines that must be adjusted. Obviously, there is a ripple effect on the project, and most project planning software can handle that. However, when it comes to the associated projects and tasks that also reside in Salesforce, extra work is required, and it can be subject to error.  What can we do about this?

At our company, we use the phase-gate development process to create our products, from releasing new most viable products (MVPs) to updating later versions. It is a lightning fast process, so it is important we improve our project management abilities. We’d like to use Salesforce®, but it has limited project management functionality. Any suggestions?

Why time tracking is Useful

Before, workers would clock in and out with physical time sheets to prove they had come in to work that day, and for how many hours. There are now digital versions of time cards, which is great for a more remote workforce, but it doesn't show how that time was spent.
